3 ways to sell your items with The Hippo Events
Tag your own items
Register to consign and use our online system to tell us what items you are selling and the price you want for the item. Then our system will take that information and create a bar coded tag for each item that you print off from home. Put the tags on the items and bring the items to the fairgrounds on the designated drop off day.
Selling your items this way, you will receive 65% of your sales or up to 80% if you choose to help during the event.

Use our tagging service
Want to sell your items but don’t have time to do it yourself? Use our Busy Mom tagging service and hire a tagger to do the work of entering in your items into our online system, pricing your items, print the tags off and putting them on the items. They will even deliver the items to the fairgrounds for you. All you have to do is gather together the items you want to sell and have a tagger pick them up.
When you use the Busy Mom Tagging service, you receive 40% of your sales.
This is a hands off approach to selling at The Hippo Events. Just relax and collect a check.
Let Hippos Buy your items
Have something just sitting in your closet or garage that is taking up space? Bring it to The Hippo Events and we will buy it from you!
This option is limited to the Children’s event only. We will buy your baby gear, toys, strollers, kids furniture, outdoor play toys, bedding, books, bottles and other items directly from you. The only thing we won’t take is clothing and accessories. Your items need to be clean and in good working condition.
Bring the items to us on the select days and we will make a cash offer or you can get shopping credit to spend at our events.
Two times we will buy your children’s items
- Fri. July 10th 4pm to 8pm
- Mon. July 20th 6pm to 9pm
When selling your items this way, you get money instantly or a shopping credit to use at the events.
