  • FURNITURE:  If you are selling any BIG furniture like couches, dining room tables, china cabinets, oversized entertainment centers, patio furniture or other items of that size you can NOT donate it. You MUST pick it up if it does NOT sell. There are no exceptions to this rule. This will not affect your Double D Status.  If you leave behind a LARGE furniture item, you will be charged a disposable fee of $50.   (Our charities can not pick up large furniture items as they do not have room for these large items.)
  • SMALLER Furniture like bar stools, end tables, chairs, bookshelves, etc CAN BE DONATED if you have selected the donate box when listing the item in the system.  You can NOT donate a small furniture item that you did not mark for donation.
  • Christmas Decorations are only accepted at the Back to School (Fall/Winter) event and has a limit of 10 items.
  • Easter/Spring Decorations are only accepted at the Spring Event and has a limit of 10 items.
  • Mattresses can NOT be sold.
  • We do not accept computers, tablets, printers or gaming systems. These items are difficult for us to test.
  • Do NOT intentionally hide stains or problems with an item. If you are caught hiding a stain by folding the item in a certain way or putting it in a zip lock bag or putting it in between  other items, you will be charged a fee and will be subject to an inspection process during drop off at the next event.  We want shoppers to be confident in shopping with us and when they buy something that you have  hide a defect and/or stain, this causes that shopper to potentially NOT come back to Hippos which means YOU lose a chance to sell your items!  Let’s work together NOT against each other.
