This is only available for the Children’s Event.

How does it work?

  • Bring us your items that you want to sell to us

  • We will make you an offer of CASH and a Hippo Shopping Credit.

  • You decide which offer you want either cash or Hippo shopping credit.

  • You accept the offer

  • We give you the CASH or Shopping Credit

  • You will get an early shopping pass to shop at our Teen/Adult.

 

What items do you accept?

Children’s Event

  • Baby equipment (strollers, jumperoos, walkers, pack n plays, bouncy seats, etc.)
  • Large outdoor toys (play houses, slides, play kitchens, swings, playground sets, etc.)
  • Ride on toys (toddler ride-on toys, rocking horses, bikes, tricycles, power wheels, cozy coupes, scooters, etc.)
  • Large toys (Dollhouses, large car sets, play tool workbench, play kitchens, etc.)
  • American Girl dolls and accessories
  • Lego and Imaginex Sets
  • Kid furniture (table & chair sets, toddler beds, rocking chairs, bean bag chairs, etc.)
  • Bed Tents and play tents
  • Art easels, train tables and lego tables
  • Toy boxes and storage

     

    How much will I be offered?

    We base our offers off of how items similar to yours have sold at The Hippo Events.  We will offer you a price lower than what the item will sell for at The Hippo Events. The offer will be about 30% of what The Hippo Events thinks they can sell the items for.  If you accept the credit offer, you will be offered a bit more. BUT the good news is you are getting that item out of your house NOW and not having to do any work to sell the item. AND you will get cash or shopping credit right on the spot!

    Be sure your item is clean and has all its parts to get the maximum amount! If it needs batteries, have batteries in the item so we can see it works!

    When is the Buy it now happening?

    The following days and times are when you can bring your items to us. Please make sure they are clean and in good working condition.

    • Monday July 22nd from 6pm to 8pm

    • Friday July 26th  from 10am to 2pm

    No appointment needed, just bring your items to us at the Hernando County Fairgrounds.

    What do you NOT accept?

    • Clothing, shoes and accessories

    • Decor type items

    • Games or puzzles or small toys

    • Bedding or Bath items

    • Books and DVDs

    • Electronic type items

    • Large furniture items
